About Me

Background

Hi 👋 ! I am Mano Prakash Parthasarathi, a Ph.D. student in the department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. My research interests lie broadly in Theoretical Computer Science, with primary interests in String and Graph algorithms.

I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, from 2015 to 2019. Following my undergraduate studies, I entered the industry as an Associate Software Engineer at OptumInsight India Private Limited in Chennai, where I worked from June 2019 until November 2021.

Driven by my interest in Mathematics, I then wrote the Joint Admission for Masters (JAM) examination in 2022 and joined the M.Sc. Mathematics program at IIT Madras. It was during this time that I got exposed to different fields of Theoretical Computer Science (special mention to the Theory CS group at IIT Madras), which motivated me to pursue a Ph.D. in this field.

One of the things I enjoy the most about research is that no two days are the same ; there is always something new to learn, especially when collaborating with and learning from my peers.

I love hiking , teaching, and mentoring students . To unwind, my go-to activities are listening to music , solving puzzles , and catching up with my friends . Recently I have been trying to develop a habit of reading books (Hope this habit sticks 🤞).
